Surrounded by pristine wilderness, this rustic lodge overlooks the Hecate Strait. Constructed 1970 near Copper Bay by Walter and Maria Ernst, Copper Bay Lodge serves as base and home to the visiting sportsmen and guest.

Copper Bay Lodge is the oldest full time fishing lodge in operation on Haida Gwaii.

Copper Bay Lodge offers two rooms with two single beds and an additional cabin with two beds. Guests are provided with a private dining and living room. Settle back, listen to the crackle of the log fire and the memories of your day.

Within 10-45 minutes from the Copper Bay Lodge lies some of the best salmon fishing. September and October is prime time for Coho Salmon. November through January the lodge is closed. Steelhead trout best time is February till April. In Summer the lodge offers bed and breakfast accomodations but no fishing.
